Enriching the lives of Homeschool Families
Enrollment for 2022-2023 courses is no longer open.
Please check back mid-March to register for the
2023-2024 academic year.
St Athanasius Academy exists to aid parents in the teaching of the faith to their children. We see ourselves as a supplement designed to support the parents in the areas where help is desired. Our tutors encourage weekly engagement between the student and the family. The academy encourages its staff to utilize Socratic methodology in their classrooms to direct students to make natural conclusions about the subject matter at hand.
Students experience live engagement with each other and their tutor through our virtual classroom software. Our tutors will lead 5-12 students in a private video conference call. Parents are allowed to silently monitor live video sessions.
We offer a complete option for Kindergarten through 12th grade. This includes core studies: math, science, language arts, and social studies, as well as Christian education.
Our academy also offers Kindergarten through 3rd grade in cooperation with Sh. Shell Keim/Keim Time Learning pre-recorded lessons for Year 1 to Year 4.
We hold to the universal Christian Faith that has been believed everywhere, always and by all, embracing
St. Vincent of Lerins’ ancient hermeneutic of universality, antiquity, and consensus.

We found it helpful to our tutors and students in extending the 2022-2023 academic year to 32 weeks (16 weeks of instruction for Fall and Spring terms). This will enable ample time to practice time-management with class assignments, foster fellowship among tutors and classmates, and continue the quality educated expertise already provided by each of our tutors. Since we base our academic year around our Orthodox Church calendar, the updated academic calendar offers more space to steady our hearts, minds, and souls in a rhythm to the Feasts and Fasts.
All core classes will now meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Orthodox studies are offered on Wednesdays and general academic electives meet on Fridays. There are no classes scheduled on Mondays, providing families space to navigate that day as they wish.
The previous academic year brought new opportunities with enormous growth; we thank you for understanding our need in updating tuition, and we truly appreciate your dedication to St. Athanasius Academy. Please remember that 75% of the tuition goes directly to the teacher as compensation. For more information, please read our FAQ page.
